no disrespect intended - will hear one voice piece out of context, or will not have been following any or all of the contributions, some ranging over a period of weeks or months. many live stories frequently twist and turn, before the truth of the matter is finally arrived at. in terms of expert knowledge, frequent 'backgrounders' are carried on my aviation security website, the link is at the top of this page) and where unintentional, misleading or technically incorrect matter gets through, or an established agency report discredited, then i will always attempt to correct and update the matter, and usually add a detailed backgrounder to my aviation blog pages. this has advantages as if a particular scenario is presented at short notice then a simple search of my aviation blog, will bring up the information sought. the technicals: i have an isdn ( integrated services digital network ) line, essentially a remote radio studio, set up at home, so i am usually available around the clock. the isdn2 paired line in turn is linked to a professional glensound gsgc5 isdn mixer, enabling me to hear the remote producer/gallery talkback in one ear of the headset earphones, and the programme feed a few seconds in advance of transmission in the other ear. essentially it sounds as though i am physically in your own radio station studio. isdn is still the preferred professional quality audio feed - as unlike digital voip systems, there is absolutely no drop out, or annoying time delay on the isdn2 circuit. in time, voip systems will improve, but we can expect to wait another 10 years or so for this to happen. i also proactively employ digital tablets, a battery of smart tvs and computer screens, my associate will also 'live' research if already on air. frequently we can confirm, prove, and in the process break news on air, sometimes before news agencies are up and running with it. i am on a very high speed cabled broadband service. indeed news agencies contact me for verification and comment. i am fed and source information from and by, many industry contacts and industry professionals, who trust me to use their information responsibly as required. sometimes the isdn circuit cannot technically be set up at the remote end, possibly an in-vision presence is required, so a skype link [julian.bray.uk] on a very high speed digital server is used. this connects ( as does isdn) to most places in the world. in addition my skype link is already linked to major world broadcasters.. not all broadcasts are from home, so a duplicate flight-cased 'glensound' kit is maintained, ready to deliver, which can be transported and connected into any isdn line (for example large hotels, airports and sports stadia usually have a resident isdn line for hire) as both the glensound units are dual codec and will automatically detect the remote end codec type. the two units can of course be combined and used at either end of the same isdn circuit, where for example a high quality audio, by say the chairman, needs to be relayed to broadcast live to workers in a different country. in a noisy sports and or air show environment, we would use coles noise cancelling ribbon lip mics. if television camera or vj's requires a live or pre-recorded 4k quality video feed, from my home location, the local 4k uplink mast is nearby (3 minutes) bbc, itv, sky and agency television cameramen can all live uplink directly from it. julian bray december 2016 01733 345581 live isdn & skype broadcast comment nuj london freelance/cambridge life member and full equity member o n aviation security, airline operations aviation industry financials rail transport, freight, cargo, overland travel maritime & cruise industries http://feeds.feedburner.com/braysduckhouseblog recent incidents audio & tv feeds https://soundcloud.com/julian-charles- bray press, television, radio & international media. telephone (uk): +44 (0)1733 345581 or trusty 'nokia' cell: 07944 217476 iphone: 07435 303145 skype: julian.bray.uk isdn (24 hours) +44 (0)1733 34 5020 all codecs direct key in auto connects g722 & a-tx maritime & cruise industries including: explai ners, commentary, voiceovers, sports summariser, county shows & arena events google-site-verification: google83466ac7cb7103b1.html [email protected] julian bray nuj equity bbc# 10476453 https://soundcloud.com/julian-charles-bray https://youtu.be/yiksljxc6wa?t=1m12s http://rinf.com/alt-news/tag/julian-bray/ https://youtu.be/yiksljxc6wa https://audioboom.com/channel/shareradio-morningmoney direct dial up isdn +44 (0) 1733 345020 some of the topical talks & features covered include: tv & radio packages regional blog aviation blog aviation & maritime incidents donald j trump the usa president elect his influence on aviation? iata latest woerld position 'black box' recovery safety / aircraft technical issues, talk down
